Faculty excellence: With an average class size of 25 students, you’ll engage with faculty who are committed to bringing their knowledge and experience to the classroom. All of our regular faculty have doctoral degrees.
Research: Assist professors or conduct your own research with grants up to $1,500. Students present research at the Ohio State Newark Research Forum and at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on the Columbus campus.
Education abroad: Take advantage of trips offered exclusively to Newark campus students (recent trips include Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba and Germany), or participate in any of Ohio State’s 200 study abroad programs in over 50 countries. Travel scholarships are available.
Service learning: Apply for the LeFevre Fellowship, a prestigious award that includes a $1,500 scholarship for students with strong academic records and the desire to provide service to the community.
Honors: Participate in the Honors program, which offers enriched classes, priority scheduling and more to high-achieving students.

The Newark campus residence halls offer both apartment-style and traditional rooms. Our residence halls are located on campus and convenient to all classroom buildings. The newest residence hall, McConnell Hall, opened in August 2017.
Ohio State Newark has more than $810,000 available in scholarships in 2017–18, and this is expected to increase each year. Ohio State Newark participates in federal and state financial aid programs, and admitted freshmen applicants are automatically reviewed for Newark’s merit- and need-based scholarships.
